Open Call: Main Gallery 2027/2028

The Firehouse Art Center in Longmont, Colorado is accepting proposals for its 2027/28 exhibition calendar. Housed in a National Historic Landmark building with two exhibition spaces and over 1,000 square feet, the free-admission contemporary art centre draws more than 10,000 visitors a year and has been voted Best Art Gallery in East Boulder County ten years running. Solo exhibition proposals from established and emerging artists in all mediums are welcome, as are group exhibitions and curatorial proposals. An exhibitions committee of artists, arts administrators, business professionals, curators and collectors reviews submissions; preference goes to culturally relevant work with a unique perspective that offers a diverse art experience, and cutting-edge contemporary and multi-disciplinary practices are strongly encouraged. Open to all artists in the continental US, with a stated commitment to artists across race, gender, gender variance, sexual orientation, national origin, age, religion, political affiliation and disability. Teams submit one résumé of no more than one page per member.
