Łódź Photo-Match 2026 Portfolio Review

Łódź Photo-Match is the portfolio review program of Fotofestiwal, the major Polish photography festival in Łódź. The 2026 Photo-Match runs June 19–20, 2026 across two venues: Day 1 at Art_Inkubator and Day 2 at Alfred Biedermann's Palace.

The structure is matched-meeting rather than open networking. Twenty selected photographers are paired with 20 European curators, editors, and gallery directors based on a matching process. Each selected photographer receives up to four one-on-one meetings on Day 2. Day 1 features public presentations.

Reviewers come from across Europe — Spain, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, UK, Finland, Netherlands, Sweden, Austria — plus Chile. The 2026 reviewer panel includes curators Anna Surroca, Irene Monteagudo, Arianna Rinaldo, Kristyna Müller, Witek Orski, photo editor Emma Bowkett, and Fotofestiwal Director Tomasz Gutkowski.

The program is free of charge and co-financed by the European Union's Creative Europe program with support from multiple cultural institutions across Europe. Eligibility is open to photographers of any nationality, including artistic duos. Multiple project submissions are allowed, and past applicants may resubmit without restriction.

Selection is anonymous: 3 Fotofestiwal collective members evaluate applications using only the images and project descriptions, without identifying information. Submissions accept 10 photographs in JPG/PNG format (max 10 MB total) submitted via Google Form and email to portfolio@fotofestiwal.com. The 2026 deadline is May 15, 2026; selected artists announced by May 19. Physical attendance in Łódź is required.
