Lenscratch Motherhood Exhibition

Lenscratch is a long-running US fine-art photography platform that publishes daily features and runs themed group exhibitions. The Motherhood Exhibition is its annual Mother's Day-adjacent online show.

The brief deliberately broadens the theme beyond traditional mother-child portraiture. Lenscratch is asking for work engaging with chosen families, caregiving relationships, absence, loss, resilience, and inheritance — all dimensions of mothering as a verb rather than a fixed identity.

Selection runs as a single group online exhibition published on the Lenscratch site, where features remain in the archive long-term.

Submission is single-image: one photograph via Google Form, 72dpi at 1000px long side. Application is free. Eligibility is open globally. The 2026 deadline was May 1; results announced May 10, 2026.
