KYOTOGRAPHIE Photo Zine Showcase

KYOTOGRAPHIE is the international photography festival held annually in Kyoto each spring. The KYOTOGRAPHIE Photobook Fair runs as part of the festival programming. The Photo Zine Showcase is a special exhibition within the fair specifically for emerging artists.

The format is showcase rather than competition. Selected zines are physically displayed at the festival's Photobook Fair, where they are seen by an audience of international editors, photographers, curators, and publishers attending KYOTOGRAPHIE. The intent is exposure and connection rather than prize.

The 2026 showcase is held May 9–10 at Rohm Theatre Kyoto, the festival's main venue.

Eligibility is restricted to emerging artists. Application is free, made through Google Form. Each photographer submits one zine for consideration. The 2026 deadline was April 20; results announced late April 2026.
