IX International Mini Print Cantabria 2026

International Mini Print Cantabria is a printmaking competition held in Santander, Spain, now in its 9th edition (founded 2018). The format is in the name: each work is a "mini print" no larger than 20×20 cm in image and paper dimensions, with the small format chosen to make printmaking accessible across techniques and to scale a large international group exhibition into a manageable space.

The 2026 theme is "Open Sea — Reality, imagination and poetics." All printmaking disciplines are accepted, including traditional techniques (etching, lithography, woodblock, linocut), monotype, and digital prints. Each artist may submit up to three prints.

The main prize pool is €4,000. Selected work is exhibited at the Exhibition Space of the Archive of the Port Authority of Santander from September 11 through December 8, 2026. Entry fees range from €35 to €65 depending on the submission tier.

The 2026 jury comprises three academics from European art universities: Carinna Parraman (Professor at the University of the West of England Bristol and director of the Centre for Print Research), Eugènia Agustí (visual artist and lecturer at the University of Barcelona), and Usama Habil (artist and Assistant Professor at the University of Salamanca). Submissions close July 31, 2026; jury deliberations conclude September 18.
