International Photography and Football Open Call 2026

The International Photography and Football Open Call is an exhibition-pairing competition organized by Fundación Televisa, the Mexican cultural foundation. The 2026 edition runs in parallel with the Annie Leibovitz Futbol 2026 exhibition — Leibovitz's body of work on football for the upcoming World Cup.

The brief is broad in approach: football/soccer in any form. Packed stadiums or dirt fields. Color or black and white. Cameras or phones. Selection criteria are explicit: originality, impact, and narrative quality. AI editing is acceptable; fully AI-generated work is not.

Selected winners are exhibited at the National Museum of Anthropology in Mexico City alongside Leibovitz's Futbol 2026. The total prize pool is $18,000.

The 2026 jury is Annie Leibovitz, Pablo Ortiz Monasterio (photographer and editor, longtime figure in Mexican photography publishing), filmmaker Carlos Cuarón, and photographer Ana Hop.

Eligibility is open globally to photographers 18+. Submission is through Picter — 1–3 images per entrant. Application is free. The 2026 deadline was April 30; results announced May 10, 2026.
