Hamburg Portfolio Review 2026

Annual call from the Hamburg Portfolio Review, hosted by the FREELENS Foundation and supported by the Hamburg Ministry of Culture and Media and Canon Europe. A jury selects 100 photographers, who each meet one-on-one with up to 4 of more than 50 international reviewers — editors, publishers, curators, festival and museum professionals — in virtual sessions, and selected portfolios are also shown in exhibitions in Hamburg. Open to photographers over 18 worldwide; the focus is narrative photography rather than commercial or advertising imagery. Submit two projects of up to 10 images each or one project of up to 20 images. Free to enter; the 2026 deadline has been extended to June 14.
