Françoise Demulder Photography Grants 2026
Two production grants of €8,000 each, awarded by the French Ministry of Culture (DRAC Occitanie) together with the international photojournalism festival Visa pour l'Image – Perpignan, to women photojournalists in recognition of their contribution to the field. The award honours Françoise Demulder, the French war photographer who in 1977 became the first woman to win World Press Photo. Applicants submit a dossier for a reporting project on a social, economic, political or cultural subject treated in a journalistic manner; the two grants go to individual photojournalists of any nationality. Past recipients include Sandra Mehl, Catalina Martin-Chico and Nanna Heitmann.
