FMoPA 2026 International Photography Competition

The Florida Museum of Photographic Arts (FMoPA) is a Tampa-based museum dedicated to photography, located in Tampa's Ybor City Historic District. The annual International Photography Competition is the museum's flagship juried open call.

The 2026 edition runs across seven categories: People/Portraits, Places/Landscape, Nature/Science/Animals, Documentation/Photojournalism, Still Life, Abstract, and Conceptual. Eligibility is open globally to photographers 18+.

Best in Competition receives $1,000 cash. Category winners receive goods and services rather than additional cash. Winning works are exhibited at FMoPA from June 16 to August 2, 2026.

The 2026 jury is built from international institutions: Jessica Jarl (Global Director of Exhibitions, Fotografiska), Hiromi Nakamura (Curator, Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography), Elena Paraskeva (photographer and art director), Bärbel Reinhard (photographer, curator and educator), and Kristen Roles (photographic artist and educator).

Submission is through Picter with up to 15 images. Fee is $10. The 2026 deadline was April 22; results announced May 13, 2026.
