F/262 Curated Open Call 2026

Series-based track of the F/262 Festival in Caldas da Rainha, Portugal — a curated open call rather than a competition, inviting a complete project, series or conceptual body of work for review by the festival's curatorial team, guest curators, international advisors and external reviewers from partner institutions. All genres are eligible, including fine art, documentary, experimental, portrait, conceptual and cross-disciplinary work; works-in-progress are accepted if presentable by summer 2026. One selected project is awarded a dedicated solo exhibition at CEF – Centro de Experimentação Fotográfica in Caldas da Rainha after the 2026 festival closes. There is no cap on the number of projects selected: chosen work is shown in indoor cultural venues with wall text developed alongside the curators, listed in the official festival guide, promoted through festival and press channels, and may be considered for photobook features, talks or portfolio reviews. The festival covers exhibition production costs and artists retain full copyright. Open to photographers, artists and collectives of any nationality, age or background; collaborative projects welcome. Submit a single PDF with a project statement, bio and the photographs, plus one JPG cover image. Judged on conceptual clarity, visual quality, originality and exhibition viability.
