Der Greif × Fondament — I Spy With My Little Eye

This open call is a collaboration between Der Greif, the Germany-based contemporary photography platform, and Fondament, on the theme "Ich seh' etwas, was du nicht siehst" — the German equivalent of the children's game "I Spy With My Little Eye."

The brief centres on social life in Germany, inviting photographs that resist a single reading. Artists are asked to submit work that tells more than one story and leaves room for different interpretations, holding the tension between what is seen and how it is understood.

Three equal cash prizes of €1,000 each are awarded by an interdisciplinary jury, introduced gradually on Instagram, judging on perspective shift, societal relevance, visual language, and narrative depth. Selected works are presented online from October 2026 on both organizations' platforms, with a publication and exhibition under consideration.
