Dark Frames III — Carlotta Gallery

Carlotta Gallery is an online photography gallery that runs themed virtual exhibitions on a recurring schedule. Dark Frames III is the gallery's third black-and-white-themed cycle.

The brief positions monochrome work as more than aesthetic choice: the absence of colour as a space for deeper perception. Selection prioritizes work where the B&W treatment is structurally meaningful rather than decorative.

The fee structure is staged: free to submit, with a £20 fee charged only if work is accepted for the exhibition.

Selected work is shown in a virtual exhibition with a catalogue and a participation certificate. The exhibition format is online-only.

Eligibility is open to photographers 18+ globally. Submission is by email with up to 3 images. The 2026 deadline was April 10.
