Chromatic Photography Awards 2026
Chromatic Photography Awards is the color counterpart to several long-running monochrome competitions — entries must be in color, and black-and-white work is explicitly excluded. The 2026 cycle is the awards' 8th edition. Submissions are open to professionals and amateurs worldwide, with no age restriction stated on the official information page.
Entries can be made in 20 categories: Abstract, Architecture, Cityscapes, Conceptual, Culture, Environmental, Fashion and Beauty, Fine Art, Landscapes, Nature, Nudes, People, Photojournalism, Photomanipulation, Portrait, Sports, Still Life, Street, Travel, and Wildlife and Animal. Category winners receive Gold, Silver, or Bronze medals. The Professional and Amateur top winners receive $2,000 and $1,000 respectively, plus inclusion in the awards' Official Book. Honorable mentions receive certificates and badges.
Entry fees follow a tiered structure: $17 amateur / $22 professional per entry at the early deadline (July 19, 2026), rising to $22 amateur / $27 professional at final deadline (October 25, 2026). Winners are announced December 20, 2026.
The jury is composed of magazine editors, gallery curators, professional agents, and other industry-side professionals — names rotate per edition and are listed on the awards site. The competition does not state an AI policy on its information page, so applicants making AI-assisted work should email organizers before entering.
