Arte Laguna Prize 2026
The Arte Laguna Prize was founded in 2006 by Cultural Association MoCA and is now in its 21st edition. The prize is one of Europe's largest cross-disciplinary art competitions, with categories spanning painting, sculpture, installation, photography, video art, performance, virtual and digital art, digital graphics, environmental and land art, urban and street art, and art design.
The main cash prize is €10,000 (subject to 25% withholding tax under Italian law). Beyond cash, 120 finalists exhibit at Arsenale Nord in Venice from November 6 through 29, 2026 — the same Venetian Arsenale site that historically hosts portions of the Venice Biennale. Special prizes additionally include residencies at venues in Venice, Australia, China, Croatia, and Peru, plus gallery exhibitions and corporate commissions.
The 2026 jury comprises seven international curators including Yuko Hasegawa (Curator & Director, 21st Century Museum Kanazawa), Wang Chunchen (Chief Curator, CAFA Art Museum Beijing), Linzi Stauvers (Artistic Director, Ikon Gallery), Hèlio Menezes (curator), Gianluigi Ricuperati (curator and art director), Jemima Kulumba (Co-Founder, WIA), and additional industry-side voices.
Entry fees are tiered by age: artists under 35 pay €97.60, artists 35 and over pay €122. Additional works beyond 5 cost €24.40 each. There is no age limit for entry, and the prize is open to all nationalities and qualifications. The 2026 deadline is June 30; the finalist exhibition opens November 6.
