Art That Matters to the Planet: Dark Skies
Sixth annual juried exhibition at the Roger Tory Peterson Institute in Jamestown, NY (January 29 – May 30, 2027), themed on the night skies after Peterson's A Field Guide to the Stars and Planets — nocturnal creatures, constellations, light pollution and space junk. All media welcome, including photography; recent works (since 2020) preferred. Guest juror Jon Lomberg, Carl Sagan's principal artistic collaborator and Design Director of NASA's Voyager Golden Record. For the first time RTPI awards cash prizes of $1,000, $500 and $250, announced at the opening reception. International; up to 4 works. Entries open August 1 and close November 7, 2026 via CaFÉ.
