Apeldoorn Photo Award 2026 — Sporen (Traces)

First edition of the Apeldoorn Photo Award, a new biennial photo competition organised by the Dutch photography platform Apeldoorn Photo with the Municipality of Apeldoorn. Theme "Sporen" (Traces) — what people, time and nature leave behind — across three categories: Nature in Motion, Human Traces, and Silent Witnesses. Open to photographers from the Netherlands and abroad; submit up to 3 photos in one category via the Pixoroo platform. Category winners each receive €500, and the audience-prize winner receives €500 plus a solo exhibition at the 2027 Apeldoorn Photo Festival. Longlisted works are exhibited in central Apeldoorn with public voting; exhibiting artists pay a €150 contribution covering print production and the award catalogue. Jury chaired by photographer Maarten Corbijn. Award ceremony October 2026.
