ABSURIA — International Abstract & Surrealist Photography Contest 2027

Second edition of the international festival dedicated exclusively to abstract and surrealist photography. Open to amateur and professional photographers worldwide. 100 photographs selected for physical exhibition across multiple venues in Tours, Loire Valley, France from May to September 2027, with all nominees also shown in 3D online galleries on the festival website. Fourteen winners honoured at the awards ceremony in Tours in early May 2027. Categories: Abstract Photography and Surrealist Photography, each with Professional and Amateur divisions plus a Young Hopefuls award; winners receive the ABSURIA Trophy, a gold statuette created for the contest. Fee tiered by number of works: amateur €20–€40, professional €25–€50, up to 6 works per registration with unlimited registrations. Images created solely with generative AI are excluded.
