Manipulation & Illusion

Open call exploring the terrain between what is seen and what is constructed. Seeking work that engages with manipulation and illusion as they relate to perception, belief, identity, and power. Themes include optical, sensory, and spatial illusion; distortion, misdirection, and scale; unreliable memory; propaganda and political persuasion; digital manipulation and curated environments; institutional narratives and manufactured truth; manipulation as artistic method; and altered materials, images, and data. All disciplines welcome — photography, visual art, design, and fine craft. Submissions accepted exclusively through the Co-Ex Collaborative website portal. Selected work featured in a curated online collection. Open worldwide.
