Creative Capital Award 2027

Major annual grant supporting ambitious, risk-taking projects by individual artists across all disciplines including photography and visual arts. Now in its 27th year, Creative Capital has committed over $60 million to 750+ projects. Three-round application process: Round I project proposal, Round II detailed materials, Round III panel review. Main award provides $15,000–$50,000 in project funding plus advisory services and career development support. Additionally, the new State of the Art Prize awards $10,000 unrestricted grants to individual artists. Open to US citizens, permanent residents, Tribal ID holders, or O-1 visa holders aged 25+ with at least 5 years of professional artistic practice. Must not be enrolled in a degree-granting program. Round I deadline April 2, 2026 at 3 PM ET.
