Bowness Photography Prize 2026

Australia's richest photography prize, now in its 20th year. Open to Australian citizens or permanent residents (12+ months). Winner receives $50,000 AUD and acquisition into MAPh's permanent collection. Two Honourable Mentions receive $2,500 each. Wai Tang Commissioning Award of $10,000 for a future exhibition. People's Choice Award of $5,000. Finalists exhibited at MAPh gallery. Accepts still photo-based media including analogue and digital photography produced within the past year. Up to 3 works per $55 entry. AI permitted only if not the substantial or overriding input. Entries open April 16, 2026.
